All Medical Practitioners, Surgical Podiatrists and Allied Health professionals who wish to admit Patients to The Park Private Hospital must apply to the hospital for accreditation. This process applies to all specialists and surgical assistants.
The Executive Assistant is the primary contact for any queries regarding the credentialing of Clinicians at The Park Private Hospital. A completed Application for Credentialing Form must be returned to the hospital with all the required documentary evidence to facilitate credentialing. Requests for credentialing application packs can be emailed through to credentialing@tpph.com.au
Evaluation of Credentialing Applications
Clinical privileges are evaluated based on the:
- Practitioner’s education, training, recency of practice, professional memberships and references.
- Practitioner maintaining and providing evidence of mandatory training and continual professional development education requirements relevant to their desired scope of practice.
- Profitability of the scope of practice being requested to be conducted.
The Hospitals Credentialing Committee reviews all applications. Following approval, applicants will be notified by letter of their credentialing status and scope of practice.
Accreditation is granted for three years, and the re-credentialing process is abridged and requires much less information.
Interim accreditation may be granted by the Credentialing Chair for a period of three months for visiting practitioners, pending their application for full accreditation being considered by the Credentialing Committee.
